About Us

Making a Better Future Possible

We provide opportunities for disadvantaged youth to be matched with mentors in the workplace to gain invaluable experience. Students involved in our program will also gain work experience and learn about careers, life, teamwork, and how to help other people.

The emerging need for quality programs to address the needs of at risk youth gave impetus to the development of Youth Career Institute.

Student Achievement Awards

Youth Career Institute is proud to be a Dade Partner with Miami Dade County Public Schools. Students are recognized at the end of each grading period for academic excellence, acceptable conduct, and attendance. The Rising Star Award is presented to students who show extraordinary improvement over the previous grading period. Additionally, the InterClass competition for attendance helps students to focus on the merits of attending school regularly. The Attendance Trophy and a class party are awarded to the homeroom with the best attendance.
